I'm considering buying an Arai Helmet from Bikersbargain.com

Did someone from the forum already buy from this online shop?
I don't want to get an import helmet (japanese fittings are different from the europeans ones), and just wanted to be sure the shop is selling UK/European Arai.

thanks :beerjug:

They cannot legally sell a helmet that doesn't have EC22-05 certification.

The helmets they sell may have been imported outwith the official network, though - but that won't make any difference unless you have a warranty claim.

My Arai from J&S had been imported from Germany, outwith the official importer, so J&S sent it back to Germany for me - to get a new lining fitted (under warranty).

Thanks! ;)

I'm not really worried about the warranty but about the fitting.
In any case the EC22-05 certification means the helmet is from europe, right?

It will still carry Arai's full warranty, and the fitting is the same for European, and USA markets.

Although - it can be legal to wear a helmet without European certification if the helmet meets a similar standard. Arai make only one helmet (in each physical design) - so can be said to meet the requirement.

Spoke with the guys over the phone. The helmets are UK ones, 5 years warranty with the receipt. :thumb2
