Effing windy here too- sorry to hear about the roof and I hope it's not as bad as our local pub's roof...
I've been hiding in the garage all day- put a center stand on Fruitcakes bike, then tidied the place up.
Now I'm bored and want to play with my but herself is working form home today so that's a
It looks like it's about 50 knots on the loch here just now and forecast to be windy tomorrow again..
I got attacked by a "men at work sign" on the way to work last night. It blew across the road towards me luckily it missed me, don't know where it ended up.
Yesterday, left work (nightshift) in the rain it was snowing by 10am woke up mid afternoon with the sun streaming in the window then went to work at night in gale force winds typical Scottish weather four seasons in one day
same in castleford,
was turning left on a rounabout , n i was blown to the right , i had to swing very wide to get back on track, the front wheel was been blown from left to right wen crossin open fields
not fun:
Having made my girlfreind bike into work yesterday (in the snow) whilst i took the car, she made me take her bike today (she wanted me to check out her bikes dodgy tickover) - high winds on a light weight 125 = much blowing about and minimal forward motion. Should be a laugh going home tho!

It happens very rarely, but sometimes you end up going in the exact same speed and direction as the wind and it's the weirdest feeling! All buffeting and noise ceases, no forward resistance, it's like being in some kind of forcefield.
Or perhaps the inertial dampers kicked in briefly.
Launch Photon Torpedoes!
Sorry tae hear about yer roof, i thought i was gettin up tae the same this mornin, heard the tiles rattlin about 3 am. Fortunately no damagefor a change.
my train was on the go slow from London this afternoon, just home with a 40 minute delay, no where near as bad as the journey a couple of years ago when my London-Manchester trip time doubled....suspect it's not going to be a weekend for the bike.......the GS is like the side of a house in the high winds....a wee bit frichtening....
