Black Forest and Ardenne in a Defender!

Had a short week in the Defender around the Schwarzwald and The Ardennes taking the ferry from Newcastle to Imjuiden and stopping off at Northumberlandia on the way!

A visit to Touratech at Niedereschach and a workers lunch in the cafe as well as enjoying some of the Schwarzwald scenery!

Meeting A GS rider in Triberg and having a ride on his well travelled F800GS all the way from Oman before a stormy ride along the B500 Schwarzwaldhochenstrasse to Pension Williams.

A very rough drive along the B500.............The previous nights storm was some of the worst driving conditions I've ever seen before the drive through Alsace, Luxemburg to the 'UKGSer recommended' Post Hotel in Buillon in the Belgian Ardenne.

La Glieze Konig Tiger was something I'd wanted to see for a long time and was well worth the visit...............

The new Bastogne War Museum is worth spending and afternoon at and the Mardasson Memorial is a sobering reminder of what happened here seventy years ago.
