Had a fantastic week in the Black Forest, 17 of us in a converted guest house. stayed in Triberg, bit touristy, with thousands of bleeding cuckoo clocks but restaurants good and food cheap. Good daily trips out either via the B500 or roads around it. Titisee good, Germanys version of Matlock Bath. Todtnau has a fantastic toboggan ride. lots of good cities and towns to visit. Some of the guys went to Switzerland and Lake Konstanz. Germany is so much cheaper than France these days, highly recommended. Happy to supply details if wanted.

Due to an unfortunate problem with my BMWR1250Rs I went on my Triumph 400 Scrambler, did the trip very well, impressed with the bike

It was basic but clean, loads of parking, proper restaurant kitchen, about a mile from Triberg next to the worlds largest cuckoo clock
