Trying to set this up but struggling even after googling and reading around a bit. "phone number, user, password settings on Mac???
Phone is BB Bold 9000 on Vodaphone. Mac os on v10.6.4.

Would like to use USB (as powers phone also) in pref to bluetooth but will use which ever is easiest.

Any help appreciated.

TIA
Mike

I use pocketmac to sync and charge. It's got gremlins, and wasn't straight forward, but I finally got it working.

Good luck.

I Googled "tether Blackberry to Macbook" and found the answer. can't remember how, only that it was dead easy and although my Vodafone bill shows which net use is on the phone and which is tethered it still comes under my unlimited web deal.

It was not that site but same principle. I found a site with a cut and paste modem script and instructions which folder to put it in and then add a new dial up connection. Took a few minutes.

I now have an icon on the Mac task bar which has a "Connect to Bluetooth DUN (dial up networking) option.

Just Googled for it. Try dialup settings for Vodafone. From memory it's number star99hash with user name and password of Web

Being thick here, must be the beer:blast

"number star99hash" googled & found this,

6. ISP Name = "Connection Name", (call it anything you like).
7. Enter the Phone number: *99***1#
8. Username & Password = web & web

but is it my mobile no?? or do you just enter this exactly as the no?
:beerjug:

Thanks muchly for your time though:bow

Phone Number = Star key + 99 + hash key.

User name = web

Password = web

This is like a broadband connection so your phone number is not needed.
