Blip Engine = Stall?

Hi All,
In this hot weather, I've found that when riding aggressively; coming down from high revs and blipping the throttle causes the bike to stall?

Very similar I think to the recent thread - which turned out to be a engine temp guage issue(?), however I think that this problem may be different, and seems exactly the same as Sargeant Pluck reported:

Sergeant Pluck said:
1100rpm.

I've noticed that mine does it when i'm shifting down for lights or whatever after being high up in the rev rage - so the revs go low as the clutch goes in then I blip the throttle and the clutch comes out and it'll occasionally stall. Is it possible that the idle speed can sometimes be tricked into dipping very low, causing it to stall when you whip the throttle open again? When mine does it - its usually when I'm riding in a 'spirited' fashion!

I've a 1150 ADV, y-piece, remus carbon genesis, and steptoes flash no-cat wiring. About 8,000 on the clock. Idle is 1100

Any ideas? Or is it in to the dealers. Wondering if the bike is running a bit lean (plugs look okay).

Cheers,

Almost identical setup and the exact same thing happening to me this morning a couple of times. Had it occassionally in the past, happening much more these last few days.

If you have a look in the technical forum you'll find quite a lot of useful info.............I'd insert the link to the thread if I knew how :)

Thanks for the thread link - I'd looked at that this morning. Does not really seem to have an answer though? Or is it simply right that changed TPS voltage (however this is done) cures it totally?

It's not to do with resetting mototronic - as I have tried that a couple of times.

Bramble: I'm interested to know how you got on in the last couple of weeks since posting (or are you suffering in silence!).

Funny how all these threads started when the weather got hotter? Lean patch as Srgt Pluck says?

Cheers,

It's only happened once since I posted.............and that was on a single track bridge controlled by traffic lights and I'd just gone through on amber! How reluctant was it to start again.............very of course. Sod's law always applies. Anyway, no harm done. I don't think there was anything special about the downshift (3rd to 4th), it was just to keep the motor spinning at about 4000 rpm.

I haven't changed the TPS voltage yet, but when I do I'll let you know.

As far as I can remember my bike's always done it, but infrequently - so infrequently that it only happens just as you get used to thinking that it's not going to happen again..........and it seems to have no respect for the seasons. It's happened to me all year round - it was the scare in the wet that prompted me to post.
