Easiest to get the dealer to code it.

Thanks for that, will take alarm off the old one and take it down for them to sort or let them do it on 600 mile service

I bought an alarm from another F800GS owner, it all works but would not code so the bike doesnt know it's there.
Only negative is I don't get the flashing led or turn signals. It deactivates from the fob and from the key, and screams if I move the bike etc

Bought mine off someone that took it off his 1200 and was told it wouldn’t work on a 1250
It worked ok on mine but needed coding so should work on the new one

Yeap that was me. Pleased to hear its still good. If I remember correctly the issue was that the alarm wouldn't go off if the bike was moved and the dealer believed it was because that alarm (removed from a 2017) was not specified for the 2019 WC - different part numbers. Issue ended up being quite simple. With keyless the alarm wont activate if you are standing in the vicinity.
