pretty amazing service.

Rang them about the missfire on my bike today.

thought they would be ages so left it at the local garage.

Walked 100 yards home, made coffee, guy rings to say he was here !!

quite interesting to see him removing electrical plugs whilst the bike was running - always thought you shouldn't do that.

Swapped coils etc and decided it was injector or valves on r/h cylinder (I had already changed plugs)

Was on way to SBWs an hour later.

to be continued..........................................

Rang BMW assist on Christmas day with a Brake Failure warning light. They sent someone around Boxing Day morning (I asked them to leave the assist till Boxing Day) out into the wilderness of Lincolnshire who checked it over and agreed there was an ABS failure and would organise pick-up if I wanted it (decided I could live without ABS and ride it back to the dealer to get it fixed).
Turned out that the brake fluid to the rear brake was low on pressure.
Was impressed with service offered, and the constant phone calls to keep me informed, etc.
They certainly have a big thumbs up from me for this service! Nice to know that assistance is available even on Christmas day over 100 miles away from the closest dealer.

they think its the r/h throttle body, suddenly packed up (????) £50 excess and 10 days to order one.

Am off to Morocco soon so should be interesting:blast

What is BMW Assist?

I've ridden 50,000 miles on my 1150 and not found that bit:nenau

I di 90,000 on my 1150, loved it to bits, gave it to my brother as a 40th birthday present.

But, would gladly pay for the 1200 unreliablity as its a nicer bike to ride.

Sorry:thumb

Why did I read your post and then looking across to the right know it would be in the 1200 Section
