BMW GSW ADVENTURE PRESS LAUNCH

I like that.:thumb

Let the orders commence!:beerjug::D

Cracking bike by the looks of it. I'm sure the luddites will be along shortly to pour the usual scorn and sarcastic comments left right and centre and saying the 1150 was and is the daddy ;)

It is comrade, just so you don't forget:JB

However I'm liking this new machine, looks a whole heap of fun:thumby:

Really like the look of the Khaki coloured model but would need to get those tank side panels done in either khaki or black. Really dislike the chrome wrap around engine bars. They look like they'd do a great job in averting scrapes and scratches but they look far to blingy. Starting to look like a chavy HD. Having them in black or gun metal might make them blend better.
On the whole it's definitely a :thumby:. Having agonized over whether I would trade in my 2010 GSA when the WC Adventure came out and finally convincing myself that I should stick with what I've got I'm now wondering again :eek.

In weak moments when I've been "moderately refreshed" I may agree with you;)

Good man:thumby:

Was that whilst riding that Trumpet:comfort

In reality, they're all cracking bikes and this new 12GSA looks the bollox, can't wait to have a go on one:D

Olive matt it is then. Bound to be the new best selling colour

I think it looks like the same colour as on the F800GS.

Now all we need is a delivery date?
:thumb2

Blue or white for me, don't like the graphics :blast may have to do something about that.......and the tank panels would look better black than silver.
Don't like the khaki version much......those things aside where do I sign? :D

yep, those graphics definitely need some work.

good news for you, i'd say :thumb2

Only fault I can find is the cheap looking R1200 graphic, looks like they forgot it and then put it on as an after thought. Looks too big squeezed into that space. Would also have liked to see a dark grey/black colour scheme along the lines of the Tripple Black or the 90yrs edition.

Away I still want one........:D

Have you looked at the torque curve? It looks more like the bloody Himalayas than a torque curve. Half the folk will be off to Hilltop et.al. to get it sorted.

I can understand them opting for an alloy fuel tank it weighs more than an 1150 as it is but the real "world travellers" wont be looking forward to getting that fixed in the back of beyond.

Looks good though:thumb2

Maybe they should have sorted all the problems with the WC GS, before they launched this one.:augie

If the clutch and gearbox represented an improvement over my 1150 I'd have a Bogger by now, as it is they can stuff it. Fundamental fail as far as I'm concerned. Of course I'll buy something else and they'll bring out a revised transmission which will be peachy and I'll be :tears

I was kind of hoping i wouldn't like the LC ADV, the bog stock one is not nice at all in my eyes but this one seems to be a much better styled bike, i like it! Do i like it enough to buy one new, probably not, but a cheaper, second hand, low milage jobby might be a possibility.
