BMW Motorrad Insured Warranty

I’ve had Water pump , Throttle body, ABS unit and ECU replaced , all on seperate occasions , under extended warranty . Never been charged for ‘Trigger’s Broom’ warranty work .
The estimated costs , probably equal the premiums paid , but I’ve also enjoyed two recoveries plus three European trips without worry .

Like any insurance policy, its ‘value’ comes from a claim. It is, after all, a contract of indemnity, not an investment.

For every “I have never bought it”, “I put the money I save in a box under the bed”, “I would rather push my bike home from the Alps, than pay this” reply, you’ll hear a corresponding number of “Phew, that saved me money” and “My holiday was saved” and “I just like the security of having it, though I have never claimed on it”.

In short, it’s just a matter of personal choice. Toss a coin, if you really can’t decide.

Done that, its landed on its edge .......

Reading this makes me glad that I don’t have a BMW anymore.

Yes , cost of ownership , makes one think . Honda offering 6yr warranty and the AT that I rode last week very much tempts me .
