BMW power plug name ?

What is the actual name of the power plug/socket used by BMW/Powerlet/Hella ?

I know a lot of people call it the BMW plug but that is not its true name.

Burnie.....No idea what the 'proper' term for a BMW style power plug is....I've only ever seen to them referred to as just that...

Here's the info you need

Description: PLUG, DC POWER DIN 6-24V;
Diameter, external: 23mm; Length / Height, external: 55mm; Manufacturers part number: 57725000; Product description: Plug

Manufacturer Pro-Car

If you have a Farnells electrical supplies in Australia the part number is

658-674 Din plug for BMW £1.41
658-431 Din Skt for BMW £3.04

This plug & socket are fitted to John Deere tractors and you should be able to get 'em there.

I got my sockets from 'Supacheapauto' which is a chain and the name says it all
and my plugs from Powerlet
but I still don't know the name.........
