BMW R1100GS Fuel Quick Disconnects - Anyone used these?

Hi All,

I want to fit Quick disconnects for the fuel lines on my R1100GS and found these below on Eblag. Has anyone used these in the link below and can you recommend them? I see Motorworks do CPC connectors but they work out at £100 per line which is a bit steep. I am looking at other options. I am in the UK.

Are you referring to the eblag or Motorworks ones?

I bought two of the quick disconnects via Louis Motorrad (£59.01 delivered). They arrived swiftly and don’t seem bulky.
As suggested by Ser3J here,

I have just fitted the white plastic ones from Motorworks and they seem to be very good quality, I was pleasantly surprised.

Thank you all for your replies. I have noticed plastic ones have been recommended. Do these not go brittle and break? That's why I was looking for metal connectors to prevent this. Please share your thoughts. Thanks again for your help. Bradley

The Louis Moto ones I linked to are Metal and rated to 30 bar I think it said £30 a pair thats way cheaper than the E bay ones !!

Thanks DrFarkoff and Moto bikemad. These look good and well priced. Can one of you confirm, do they not need the rubber o ring to seal? Nothing is mentioned in the blurb?

They don’t require any other o-ring. I fitted two - as mentioned below £60 delivered.

Hi All,
Many thanks for all of your advice. I went with the Louis Moto metal QD and I am very impressed with the quality. Well worth the money. Service was spot-on from Louis Moto and I will get these agin for my RT at next service. As mentioned, the fuel clips are too big. 11 - 14mm from Halfords fitted perfectly.

Really easy. You slide the knurled ring back and pull apart. They just click together. I've fitted and run the bike and everything was fine.

Cheers CB; i thought it may be something along those lines; i've seen the push bitton one; and i've also heared of the plastic ones breaking; i've not had the tank off and on many times on my old 1100 but it has always been a faff when i have; i even mixed up the coupling pipes once; ; like i say a faff;

That's why I finally bit the bullet and went for it. I wasn't keen on the plastic ones as I heard over time they get brittle and break. I was shown a great way of stemming the fuel flow while fitting the new connectors if you have a tank full.

I have a couple of clamps for that; they are only plastic be worked ok for me at the time; just more faff

I fitted a couple of the Louis one recently when I changed the tank. Really nice quality, work perfectly and delivered very quickly. They are priced well compared to many on eBay etc, so recommend
