[Steptoe]

Found some pictures of my old R67.

My 1951 BMW R67, found in a house clearance auction, £620 , i still have the receipt. Bike was sold to a Dutchman in the late nineties.

I'd really like to get the experience to ride one of these things some day. Most of my riding has been new tech, 1100GS onwards, I am guessing I have 'missed out'..

Judging by my 1956 r50 you need to empathise more with the bike and anticipate as the brakes are rather more gradual. But lots more laughs per mph

I agree. There is a crowd down in the New Forest that rents out classic bikes for the day. I wonder whether they have anything similar?

As well as the standard foot gear change the R67 also had a hand change, neutral finder lever
