If you become a subscriber you could have a go at selling it here amongst devoteeeees ;)

You haven't stated what price/mileage/condition that your bike is in so it hard to quantify what's wrong.

A good price 6 months ago is not a good price today as although there is still money about, buyers are looking for an even better deal.

Reason why i am selling the bike & giving up on BMW is the bike is now near out of warranty (NO FAITH) & BMW have not bothered to appoint a dealer in Wales for near on two years after Rydales went tits up my nearest dealer is 220 miles round trip:spitfire:spitfire:spitfire.

Well, you can't argue against that. Good luck in your sale.

Wrong time of year to sell any bike, BMW or other.

Interesting Read

I am looking at purchasing a bike (my first, bless) around the end of October. I know I don't want a bike that is only happy at 120mph and I have my choices down to either a GS or a nice fat RT. Both bikes look to be touring friendly and they both have that nice sit-up-and-beg position that is kind to my back.

As far as I can tell there is a glut of 1200GS' on the market, 177 of them on MCN's website. From comments above it looks like the possible bubble bursting from the LWR/LWD boy's own dream? 1150GS seem to be in short supply - is it the better bike? Reliability is a must for me.

So being cynical and realistic, is it worth me waiting for a few months, till the middle of winter and getting myself a bargain GS. Or should I go with the RT and purchase a nice squashy bike at a good deal less than a GS? At what price is a 1200GS a bargain, or am I better with the 1150GS at any price?

Jocks, nice RT for sale here if ya want one :thumb

Give me a call and I'll fill ya in with the details (07769) 582124.

Having had an 1150GS and an RT I would say the RT is a better road bike. Better weather protection by far. Handle about the same on road but you have to fanny around with a GS to get anywhere near the serenity of the RT at speed. 85-90 flipfront up no shades on the RT (zero buffeting).

Loved my GS, but then I rode it off road which the RT can't do.

Wouldn't have a 1200, too many of the wretched things, and most of them are over pampered bling carriers :hide

I hope you are excluding me from that last barrage of abuse Sir!!!!!! :D
