BMW Tyre Insurance

not that simple i'm afraid, third bmw car in a row ive had that uses runflats, none of the cars were supplied with a spare wheel, in fact i dont even think there was anywhere to put a spare:nenau
still no need for crappy run flats. My z4 came with run flats fitted. As soon as they were worn I changed them for non run flat equivalent (along with, as far as I can ascertain everyone who ever bought this car).

My current A6 came with no spare and no run flats.

Cheers, am returning to bikes after a number of years and took delivery of a new GS on Saturday - too many questions! Was advised by sales in Battersea that tubeless tyres on bikes should / will never be plugged therefore any puncture will require a new tyre - am guessing you disagree?

Typical dealer bullsh*t

BMW dealers themselves sell motorcycle tubeless repair kits (its where I got mine) so a bit of a conflict there?

Not really - the DIY kits are intended to do emergency "get you home" repairs (yes, I've used one in the past, and ran the repaired tyre for a couple of thousand miles until it wore out - but the kit instructions specifically forbade this).
