Bollocks

Bloody hell, I've not read a more impassioned call for filling up with unleaded.

Screw work, I'm off to Tesco Express to revel in my freedom.

Might even buy* a Daily Mail whilst I'm there.

*Like fuck I will!

Sat on the new GSA today, expecting it to feel too big, as I'm 5'10.

I could flat foot, just, on both feet.:blast It's definitely not as big as the oil head.

I'd better get used to sleeping in the spare room!:P

Did you have the seat raised to the highest setting?

I thought that bods only worried about petrol stations in France? Scotland sounds like a wild place, bereft of civilisation. Do people live there? Are they really ready for self determination?

Top of scotland, on a sunday or bank holiday. Yes, it can be an issue.

Another vote for the bigger tank. It means only filling up every third day instead of every other day. Went from the north east to hull yesterday, did a little job and then turned round and came back. Stopping for fuel would have been an inconvenience.

Oh yes I love waiting in a service station while Mrs School-Run blocks the pump while she does her daily shopping. The fewer fuel stops the better. Why do bikes have to be so thirsty?

I was doing a regular 112 mile each way runs on the old DIvvie 900 with a 220 mile range. Fuel was a pain in the arse because I had to fill up when nearly home or fill a 40% full tank at my destination. The GSA let me do the same run on one tank and if I was careful still have enough fuel to do another run one way. What's not to like about that? I have the usual gripes about crap fuel gauge when you really need it and annoying mileage trip, but its great to be as well off as any small car driver in terms of driving range.

Filtering? I cant see the problem. The GSA has the same width engine as any other GS and the side cases are probably no wider than GS Vario cases set on full fat. I cant filter on the M6 around Brum but those lanes are so narrow the DIvvie 900 had the same problem even without it's tucked in side cases. The GSA lets me see over the traffic and make use of space when it appears. Even better in top off road mode though I do struggle to reach the floor with that setting.

Seat height is simply solved with a standard GS seat set on low or in my case a used standard height Kahedo.
