Boot Marks

just a thought

Words well said, respected geezer, but nonetheless perhaps I can offer some kind of `blingy heel guard`?

I have noooo idea if I can - I just like the sound of my own voice..................

Hi Mark
Ive noticed on my bike the rear wheel peppers the centre stand cross bar and has started to remove the paint this will obviously end up going rusty, looking at your heal guards I think that one of them would be good protection placed so that it faced the wheel when the stand is in the raised position, preventing the sand blasting.

Failing that I expect people will either 1 not bother 2 Use helicopter tape 3 repaint it now and then or 4 buy one of your guards.

Mark is making a centre stand guard, to rival the shite from Touratech.:thumb

Are you sure it is the rear wheel, mine looks as if it is getting blasted from the front wheel.

hows that

Hi
Have a look at your stand when its in the raised position the centre bar is near the rear wheel, how can the front wheel debris affect it :blast

Btw Nuts

Btw Nuts, that second prototype - as per image below - is going begging. Its only 99% perfect but for the price you or anyone might pay for it then I`m hoping it represents very good value for someone who could compromise very slightly on quality for a huge saving over RRP ir TT prices.

being a tight arse I naturally thought of you for first refusal :D

Mark,

Sumpguard looks good.

However, are the extende slots on the front edge & holes on the underside a good idea? Just a bit concerned about the holes catching on things and maybe ripping it off? The Touratech sump guard underside has no holes. Just a thought.

Its a great thought mate but they were recessed to protect the bolts - I`m not sure how I can now `fill them in` but the holes are of a size that if anything does catch in them it would be small enough not to cause any problems methinks...............

Dingers - did those 2014 Guards turn up pal?

(and you best be loving them...........)

:D

You mean em special ltd edition guards !

Yes pal they turned up and as always 1st class, you are bloody brill em touratwat fella's would not make you a one off special as you have done... And what amazes me you did all this whilst intoxicated on crutches ....lol

I get the need to recess the bolts, and like the channels that run full length on the underside. That works for me.

But I was questioning the need for the circular holes on the underside, and also the two long slots on the front edge. I can't help thinking that tree roots etc., could get lodged in these and rip it off. Would prefer it without holes / slots which I guess means less work when making it.

Fuck yeah

Don`t ever think I do what I do for commercial gain................... whereas TT do!

Look after those babies, y`hear :-)

btw secret drinking coming on well - hiding empties in garage from SWMBO

yes mate, the long slots on the front are to maximise airflow mate but I take your point - one size DOES NOT fit all (oh I`ve learnt that from the lads on the forum!) so if you wanted one I would make one especially for you at the production price of course but the leading edge slots where put in on the behest of a fellow tosser. as I said, one size does not fit all pal :D

Spot on matey. :thumb

BTW - What sort of price are these?

Already on the site pal at www.cymarcbikeparts.co.uk but if you want a `special` then please do a manual order via my lovely Shelly at [email protected] so that I don`t make you a `standard` one.

I`ve 2 standard ones on stock, one in plain stainless and another in black powder coat - but both have the long slots on the fronty bit :bounce1

Cool.

However I have a bit of a wait until my new GSA WC turns up.
