another dream is dashed.

They were always expensive but bloody good boots.
I got a pair for pennies because one of the zips was bust and they needed soleing.
10 minutes in the cobblers and they were good as new. Used to polish up a treat.
I had them for years then sold them onto their third owner, still going strong after about 15 years use.
Keep an eye on eBay and gumtree. They do crop up occasionally.

I use catapiller second shift boots if going to a meeting on my bike. I've had a few pairs over the years but currently have the waxed leather version which are great.

Did a 40 mile trip in them the other day in heavy rain and they kept my feet dry.

The last pair I had were resoled 3 times and they are still presentable after a good polish.
