Well, I'm OK for both the Saturday or Sunday but I think that Rev Chuck has indicated that Saturday is best for him and someone else has also muted a Saturday preference (something to do with alcohol ;) ).

I vote for Saturday 18th Novemember then... :thumb

If you do the Lammermuirs check out the route from Gifford to Carfraemill - Beyond Longyester (NT 545 653) its a track with the inviting old road sign stating 'unsuitable for motors' (hurrah) I've mountainbiked it loads of times, seen a few bikes up there non of whom had ever had any trouble despite passing various Farmers.
Its a bit rocky and rutted in places but should be GS'able

Phil

Don't mind if it's Sat or Sun (whichever has the best forecast .. :mmmm )

Sorry Blair i can't manage this weekend, wife has other plans :nono :o

Saturday 18th Novemember it is then :thumb
11.00am kick off from McDonalds Berwick :thumb
Is that ok for everyone ?

Nice one Phil i'll check it out this sunday.
Always looking for new tracks :thumb

McDonalds is at the North end of the Berwick by-pass - as you approach Berwick from the SCOTTISH :bow side on the A1 there's a roundabout - straight on takes you to McD's and the Travel Lodge & Morrison's/Safeways petrol station - or into the centre of Berwick  , turning right at the roundabout would take you onto the by-pass.

Cheers...............Grizzly

Hope the weathers as good as today :beerjug:

Count me in on 18th / 19th guys. The kit should have dried out after yesterday's run by then.
Where do we meet ?

Voyager (R100GS).

OK - I should have got to the end of the thread before replying.

Berwick it is then.

Voyager. :thumb

That's Voyager, bgfinlay (I think) and myself heading south on the 18th. Anyone else from up here?

What sayeth we meet somewhere and head down together.

Ronno,

My preferred route from Kirkliston (just south of the Forth Bridge) would be - Edinburgh Bypass to Dalkeith, south on the A68, Left on the A6093 to Pencaitland, then follow the B6355 to Preston/Chirnside, then the A6105 to Berwick on Tweed. Then its a left on the A1 to the roundabout where McDonalds is.

I did that in the spring when visiting Andy Minns at "Border Bikes", its a good run.

I live on a farm, not far from the Glasgow Road - Do you want to meet up there ?

Voyager.
