Hi All,

Rather than do the normal post of "anyone know what this is like" I brought this black stainless GTS can and thought I would give you my thoughts, I know that the 2010 GSA has a loudish can on it anyway but I like get something throaty and nicer looking.

Anyway I saw this on the TT website for £487 and thought I wanted something black to go with the stealth looking GSA :D i looked at a few makes whilst waiting for a bargain, then on Sunday I saw this new on eBay for £159 delivered so brought it, they still have a stainless one and a carbon one for on there for £169 and £189.

I whipped out the baffle and fitted it in 30 mins and fitted it to my standard headers, finish looks really nice and it sounds lovely, i had already removed the cables to keep the flap open all the time and my thoughts after going for a ride was :thumb2 throttle is crisper and more responsive, in addition it has more pull and noisier between 3 1/2 and 7000 revs.

All in all i am well pleased

Not worried about the mixture being a bit lean?

ahhhh we are going down this route again eh :)

Not worried one bit, i had straight through Remus headers and can on my 08GS and 09GSA with no problems at all.

I have taken part in all the discussions on here of "your engine will blow up" no one has ever had or know of anyone that has had any bolw ups or problems with a bike running lean.

Unless you know differant :nenau

I must admit that I don't know different when it comes to the GS, but when I was in the Suzuki Bandit community it was generally acknowledged that you can change the end can with impunity, but if you do the headers / air filter then you really need to rejet or risk burnt valves.

With the GS being so much more advanced I'd have thought the initial fuelling is more accurate than the (somewhat ancient) Bandit, so removing the stock cork would have higher impact.

But this is just guesswork on my part admittedly. Would be interesting to see the state of your valve seats after the next 50k.

Lots of talk on here, do a search and sit down for a day and have a read :) the lamba sensors will compensate for some lean running.

Let me say i am no mechanic so its just what i no and learned. your welcome to come and inspect, im only in Feltham :D

That's the trouble with searching, sometimes you come away no clearer than when you started - the "exploding final drive" issue is a good example of late.

I'll certainly say hello if I bump into you, either round the lanes or Box Hill etc.

Cheers!

So will it fit a 09 bike then?

So with the flappy thing removed from the exhaust, in theory would it fit a 09 bike then ??

Dont think so, one is male and one is female, you can remove the 3 inch section with the flap in it, but that affects the length.

I sold a full remus system without checking tho :blast

you will need to get an 09 can and see what you can do.

Not having had a look into the new exhaust myself but there must be some way of restricting the "flap" in the pipe or even removing it completey ?? Anyone know ??

disconnect the cables and the flap stays open at all revs
