Braces….

Maybe... Possibly too wide for the front ones.

I'd have had to de-rivet, thread and re-rivet (too permanent) or rivet a press stud through both bits of leather. Prefer the velcro. The watch straps just slotted over the existing metal loops, they split in the middle.
Hmm…

On my Klim braces the leather loops just pull open to remove the clips. They’re specifically designed to work with or without the metal clips.

Don’t start me on Klim braces. Started with the adjuster bit on one of the straps falling to bits but we managed to repair it, then it recently went again and those crappy clips that constantly ping off oh dear! Binned them and using £7 eBay braces that grip the trousers really well. Can’t believe a pair of new Klim braces are £79 total shite.

A part of me possibly regrets starting it :D
Yes
More worryingly, I struggle to come to terms with the fact that I’m contributing to a thread about braces - and I have an opinion.

Age is a terrible thing…

More worrying is that I'm
bloody reading an old thread about braces for fekks sakes and have no intention of contributing other than "3 pairs of Rukka trousers" Who in their right mind......never mind. 😉

This thread has achieved PMCB in just 3 pages.

Peak middle class biker. I’m not sure whether to be impressed, depressed or just in awe.

After suffering torment with the dreaded braces ping, I finally called time on them.

Took the whole morning taking the metal clips off the back 2, and sewing the two braces to inner rear of trousers, and leaving the metal clasp holder only on the front two, which attach nicely to the front belt loops.

Should have done this years ago, had no trouble when I had my "man shelf slack muscled belly" (okay fat)
Now when I bend over to pick up the spanner (not soap) the Ping is absent from my joyful life again. :D
