Braided brake lines - Where to purchase?

02 1150GS ABS Evo (i.e. calipers with "BMW") non-servo:
"No Goodridge hoses available for that model" say Moto-bins and Motorworks. OEM hoses are flexible only say the dealer.

Maybe Demon Tweeks or Hel would make up a set. Could be a group purchase?
Only thing is .. I don't want the bike off the road while the old hoses are used as a pattern.
I haven't checked with Venhill yet.

I have the exact same year/brakes, 2002 ABS (non-servo) with BMW badged brembos). Venhill made a set for me so should have the final lengths/fittings on file (it took a couple of goes to get it perfect).

If you post your Venhills invoice number and confirm the handlebars etc. are standard people can quote your invoice to enable Venhills to lift the spec. from your job.

Thanks. I've already emailed them. I'm reluctant to rely on photos and my measurements to produce the goods on the first attempt. I'll get a chance to call to them during June hopefully.

Light bulb moment! What have you done with the old hoses?
I had an automated reply from Venhill referring me to the FAQs on custom hoses; disappointing.

Pirtek: Thanks for the lead Dick. I have a local supplier apparently.

I will have a look for them, but they may have been slung. It is really best to give them a call, and I'm happy to pm you my details to quote them. I did send them my original hoses, but they came back the first time very slightly incorrect. Its the short hoses that go from the splitter to the calliper that are crucial. It wasn't until the 3rd attempt that they came out spot on. Venhill were good to work with and even with the initial faffing about it still only took just over a week to sort it all out.
In the pic below you can see how easy it is to get the lengths wrong due to the splitter arrangement.

brake lines

Have you tried sportouring or M&P in Wales.
I'm not sure if they do brake lines, but worth a phone call and just up the road from you. or Touratec!

Update:
Very helpful chap at my local Pirtek. He couldn't offer stainless braided hoses but referred me to a local motorsport/rally car workshop who would.
Maybe your local Pirtek shop will be able to offer the Goodridge kit and assembly service mentioned on their web site.

Very helpful emails from Venhill; (I withdraw earlier 'disappointing' comment) . They suggested I could provide my own measurements and details of banjo conn's.
I'd prefer to hand over my hoses - or get a duplicate secondhand set.

I think that ebay.de kit is for Brembo calipers not my EVOs

Thanks again for suggestions and info.

In the past I have received good help and a 20% discount from HEL just by being a member of an approved manufacturers motorcycle club. If it works for Kawasaki it should work for BMW!

I would use HEL for a set of lines. Give them a call and you can always send your existing lines to them.

I have used HEL products on both my Harley's and I find the service and product to be very good.

They also offer a lifetime guarantee, which I found out when one line had a tiny spot of rust on it. Free replacement arrived the day after I emailed a photo in.
