where can i get a full set of brake lines for my r1150gs 2003 twin spark non abs
i want to replace front & back and the clutch line as well

Got a set of Gooodridge for ABS model for a friend and myself. I have not fitted mine yet but when he went to get his fitted he found that the banjo for the front right 'BMW' caliper was 180 deg in wrong direction. Now having to get it professionally altered, albeit for about £10.

Got my last lines from HEL. Phoned them direct with the dimensions and they sorted them and sent for less than £30 a line with any colour hose cover and matched fittings. The banjos etc are a better quality finish than Goodridge standard and the G/ridge stainless are a fair bit more cash.

With the swaged fittings its a real PIA if they need to twist or are not fitted at the correct angle. Measure your lines with a bit of wire and also note how it twists to get the banjo angles.

Also Earls do custom lines and quality fittings.

Having fitted all types over the years HEL seem to be the best.

The clutch line doesn't have standard fittings at the slave end, i did have a couple made up but never progressed to having a large batch made.

if you want a stainless clutch hose get a later BMW1150ADV clutch hose, they came in stainless as standard.

Same here re HEL. Good VFM as well (tight northern git that i am:))...

When I changed brake lines I went first for HEL lines. they didn't reply to an email.. nor did they answer the phone. I needed to speak to them as the online shop didn't allow for what I needed: the upper line 35mm longer than 'stock'.

So.. rather than wait for an email reply (which never came) I went for Goodridge with S/S fittings.. at the time the price difference was 90p for a full Kit - front and rear.

And I was pleased that they didn't charge extra for my bespoke requirements.

At that time.. and probably the same applies today, HEL were supplied with stainless fittings as standard. Goodridge you have to specify them. But as I say the price difference was pennies.

S'funny as I had the exact opposite (Goodridge middleman, not direct). Shows the importance of these folk getting thier act together from the off to keep their customers.

There is still a BMW "specialist" that I won't use after the unutterable bullshit i had when i bought a bike off 'em many years ago (amongst others!)...

There's a guy on ebay listing Goodridge with or without ss fittings. Very good service and fitted perfectly. Think my kit was £105 for a 1100GS.
