I gave serious thought about working this out for myself, but caved in and took it to SWBMotorrad last saturday. It took them 90 minutes and it cost £213.70. So i've got 4 years to work it out before it needs doing again or sell the money pit.

£213 for a fluid change? :eek

Some one should tell BM thats it's shaft drive not shaft rider!

You have been well and truly shafted. Had my brake fliud changed earlier this year at a BMW dealer in Oxfordshire for closer to £50.00

i'm assuming that's a servo model you own. bmw charge more for them apparently, but even so.....

i thought it was circa £100.

Allow £13.70 for the fluid and that works at £133 per hour labour. Hope the coffee was good!

Did mine myself (with thanks to Easysushi of this parish). Cost me about a tenner in fluid. I now have the GS911 software tool plus a home-made filling funnel for the ABS pump so I can do it again in a few years time.

You've been robbed, my mate had his fluid done at SPC Motorrad about 3 years ago (now under new management as Bahnstormers) for £70.

I hope they gave you some quality biscuits with that coffee.:D

Gimme a shout in 4 years time Orange, I'll do it for free if you supply the fluid yourself.

I think you wuz done.

Just got the bill for a 12000 service + brake fluid change. - £159.37 :)

(Non servo model)

I agree you've been ripped-off. Suggest you get a copy of Jim Von Baden's GS maintenance DVD; shows you how to change brake fluid on a servo GS and many other useful and wallet-saving jobs.
