I had a spill a few weeks ago and rebuilding the baby. Unfortunately i've found a wee problem in that when i turn the ignition on, i can't get the brake light to go out. I've had to replace the front brake lever anyway, been through the not so good old Haines and can't find a bloody thing to help.
Any advice?

Handguard too low and catching the lever?

I had the same problem with my 1150 when I dropped it against the house, it has bent the switch sensor in the brake lever housing.

Strip the plastic away and you will see it, its only a 10p or 50p electrical item and its made out of some of the thinnest metal on the planet, if you bend it right it will be fine.

Mines done find for around 18months.

You could get a new switch, but BMW probably will adjust the price but 2 or 3 decimal point locations.

I had this while my bike was still under warranty.....BMW replaced the right hand switch gear..... no problems since
