I'm no fan, too much inane chatter, but taking to social media usually provides any business with a wake-up call.
Just wondering, have you actually issued the dealer with a formal rejection letter? - it's easy to let time slip by & essential if you simply want full re-imbursement rather than consider other remedies. Don't forget to include any tax, insurance & all ancillary costs in your demand & set a tight time limit for their response.

Rejection letter emailed on the 5th following delivery on the 5th they were closed on the 6th so I also emailed MG the rejection as well.
As much as I empathise with naming and shaming, you sometimes need to be careful here as a business or an individual can take legal action for defamation injurious to their business or reputation. It's not unheard of for a business to issue libel cases against individuals for comments made on social media. That's not the case here as Ding Dong is only stating facts. In this case, the business has seemingly injured their own reputation and that of a MG product, so MG may not be best pleased. From their side, one might like to hope they'll want to investigate this to see how a bike in such an appalling condition found its way to a client who'd paid in full for a brand new bike and take steps to ensure this sort of thing doesn't happen again.
Learn something new every day - I thought the payment on the credit card needed to be £100 or more to be covered. I didn't realise the CC payment could be as little as £1, as long as the purchase is over £100.
I think it has to be £100 as well. Perhaps it depends on why you’re claiming it back.
There is a whole World of difference between the truth & deliberate unjustifiable defamation. At this point it seems communication, rather than any dispute over the actuality is the problem that needs to be resolved. A tickle on social media won't go amiss if the OP is being ignored deliberately..
When I rejected a car, the aftersales team were prompt to acknowledge the issue in fairness, I hand delivered the letter of rejection to the bosses secretary & copied it to the original salesman & aftersales staff - getting an explanation & apology from the top was like pulling teeth, which I pursued relentlessly, despite receiving a prompt full refund of £26k within 4 working days. Whilst the explanation & excuses were risible, as one might expect, what amused me was the assurance that, had I stayed with it, the car would have remained warranted under the manufacturers Ts&Cs & would have served me perfectly well - maybe....... if they had just remembered the importance of oil with an ICE, where you need to spin up the sump plug securely. I suspect the motor was toast.
Well I arrive home to this email, couple of pointers, at no stage did I ask for a bike is 2024 after all why would I buy in 2023 and bizarrely he has made his own decision on what I want, it’s not his to make.
Email is a cop out and focuses the blame on Moto Guzzi yet MSC staff carried out the pdi and would have clearly seen the damage and the fact the bolts holding the fan to the radiator were loose, in-fact one never even had a nut on the end so just fell out, this would suggest the pdi wasn’t actually carried correctly.

Sounds good to me, take the 2024 model which incorporates improvements to the clutch and gearbox, and is a model year newer so 2 years from now you'll have a 2 year old bike not a 3 year old one. Let Guzzi and the dealer hash out the problems with the other one. Might let them know you'd like to be present at the uncrating for this one.

but it seems they’re resolving the problem as quickly as possible, if they’ve got any sense they’ll give you some extra sweeteners to make things right

If you want a replacement, I would make it clear that it is a 24 model year (if there are improvements over 23MY) and squeeze extended warranty and or servicing, accessories etc out of the dealer and MG so that between them you feel properly compensated. If they refuse, junk the dealer and get a refund. I would not delay telling them what resolution you want as they may get stroppy if a new bike is ordered and you don't want it, this issue nearly caught me out when I rejected a new car.

The question may become what (if any) 2023 incentives were factored in the price you paid for a 2023? If there were, and MG still has 2023's leftover, they should furnish a new 2023 for no additional charge. But if you want a 2024, which may not have the incentive, there might be that amount difference to pay.

A fair outcome but it doesn't absolve the dealership from supplying a bike in that appalling condition. As you say, it's a cop out on their duty of care to you their customer. Under the Consumer Rights Act, they have fulfilled their obligations in offering a brand new bike. Lets hope this one will be checked! It doesn't answer any question marks about the possibility of a bike which could have been supplied with a swapped motor in it (as could be reasonably suspected from the photographic evidence, or at least that this one had the motor removed for some reason?). As with one of the comments above, I'd be seeing if I could have a courtesy bike supplied as I wouldn't put much hope on the bike definitely being with you in a month. Many Italian factories shut down for two weeks over Christmas. Still, I wouldn't turn down the offer of a newer model with some improvements on it for no extra cash.
