Promised i woulds ask the question for a mate, whats cheapest way to get these brighter? ie can you just swop the bulbs for leds ? or what :flag:hide gsa 2011

LED wont do squat for you. They look brighter so can be seen easier but they dont have the light output of even a stock bulb. If you want to see with them then fit a hid kit.

+1 for HID.

See Mr Wassall of this parish. You want 3000 waters from him. Little bit of DIY work to fit them in standard BuMW aux lights but nothing too tearing if you take your time. Light uot put is fearsome...

Fluff

+2 for HiD, main beam in photo is 5000K fogs are 6000K, all changed now to 6000k bulbs

Does he want to see with them or be seen? If it's the latter, then HID upgrade is best. If its the former, chuck them away and buy a proper after-mark spot light. With a fisheye lense as comes standard, you'll never get a concentrated beam pattern - just a lot of out-of-control light.:rob

I can recommend Mr Wassall.
I got a kit from him for my GSA fogs which included right angled burner bulbs and the wires to connect to the GSA harness so there was no modification to the bike required. So everything can go back to standard if you sell the bike.

Tosh sir! :rob

HID's the way to go for the money, but superbright LED tech has moved on an awful lot since what you just said was true :thumb2

I agree. I'm quite happy to admit I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject of bike lighting but I do know the LEDs we have on our GSA - Kristas and Glendas - are excellent; lots of light and instantly on unlike the main beam HID.

I was so impressed with the Kristas on a recent most-of-the-night ride round Wales that I bought a set for the FJR as well.

They are certainly not cheap though.
