I'm almost embarrassed to ask but I'm getting over it! Looking to book a trip to Brittany in September, the first since 2017, sailing Plymouth/Roscoff. I'm no longer a Club Voyage member and wondered if someone could help me by sharing a discount code for which I'll be eternally grateful.

Many thanks.

the friend & family scheme no longer exists since Nov 2024

Added some number plates to my booking today and the website cancelled my payment , it was a glitch.
I wasn’t the first today either .
I was lucky to notice it saying my booking would be cancelled if I didn’t pay.
They sorted it , but it’s worth making sure

M'off to France and Spain on Saturday, Portsmouth-St Malo outbound on St Malo, and Bilbao-Portsmouth inbound, on Galicia.

Included with out cabin is something called the 8 Tresors lounge, but there's no info on the useless BF website what the facilities are. Anyone know?

Also, the latest BF stuff says the Club lounge on the St Malo is "an entirely new gastronomic experience". Last time I used it it was nice to get away from the terrible entertainment in the bar area but gastronomic experience it wasn't.

So, now I'm confused about where to eat. The "plant based meals" in Le Jardin is obviously out, which leaves the CCLub lounge, which is £47 each, or Le Littoral restaurant. What to do!

I googled. 8 Tresors, it is described on this page as it is exclusive to Commodore Class

"Guests of our Commodore cabins also benefit from an inclusive breakfast, served to your cabin. Or on Saint-Malo, this can be served in the ship’s private lounge called "Les 8 Trésors" with adjoining terrace – the perfect spot to enjoy your arrival into the bay when the weather is fine."

I am on the MV St Malo on Monday evening. As it sails at 20:15, my friends and I will meet at Port Solent as we are travelling from different places. We will fill the bikes at Tesco then get a bite to eat at one of the Port Solent restaurant before checking in around 1915. My son, who lives in Havant recommends the Thai place. We are in pleb class so will have a few beers before going to bed.

As the ferry arrives at 0715 BST (0815 local), the prospect of getting up and having a breakfast at 0600 BST is not for me. We plan to stop at a Boulangerie Louise on the D137 about 10 mins from the port once we have cleared customs. Probably around 0900 local time. Much more civilised.

Yes, it's with a commodore cabin. I spent a painful 20 minutes reaching BF on the phone, trying to get past it's new and useless chat bot, before speaking to a person who knew less than the chatbot!
Summary;
Tresor lounge is breakfast only, for commodore cabins
Dinner is either Le Littoral, waiter service restaurant or CClub Lounge. CClub Lounge is a buffet, and from previous experience it's quite limited in choice, and certainly choice of drinks. It's a fixed price £47pp, whereas Le Littoral is a la carte.

The call centre chimp didn't know if the evening offering in the CClub was any different to the day time type snacks they have

Well, in case it helps anyone.

The Tresora lounge is included with a Commodore cabin, on the 8th floor right by the cabins. It’s open in the evening for tea and coffee and it’s a not bad place to be if you want to avoid the “entertainment” in the bar.
It’s open in the morning from 6 (you have to be out of the cabin by 6.45 anyway) for a nice breakfast including bacon and egg, and it has a nice terrace on the stern.

We had a not bad meal in Le Littoral restaurant, €30 odd for 2 courses including a decent but not as good as the old boats buffet.

In other good news, we arrived in pouring rain for an 8.15 crossing, stopped once to check in and show passports (no helmet off) and were waved straight onto the ferry, no waiting at all. Room wasn’t quite ready so we had a quick drink in the bar and were still in the restaurant by 8pm.

Docked in St Malo at 8.30 local, and were quite quickly - would have been quicker were it not for dithering bikermates paddling their bikes about in the way - straight through immigration helmets on, and well on the road by 9.30

Sounds ideal - I’ve been using the Portsmouth - Caen route but that looks a bit more civilised, will try that next. Have a great ride!

Depending on how long you are going for check the offers page. 3 day or 5 day returns are a lot cheaper book through the offer page rather than standard search.

quite a premium to upgrade from the pleb class 4 berth at £77 to the cheapest Commodore for £142. Bear in mind the St Malo sails from Portsmouth at 2015 and arrives at 0815. No food in the lounge in the evening, just coffees and a breakfast in the morning if you want to eat at what would be 0600 UK time. I'll get food off the boat and tolerate the public bar area for a few beers before retiring to where I will spend most of the crossing, bed.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was quite good, and had breakfast at 6.45, or 7.45 French time. As above breakfast included the usual croissants and pastries but also a cooked breakfast. The timing’s not too bad since you’ve got to be out of the room by 6.45 UK (7.45 local) anyway. Since I have club voyage, and booked a while ago, I think it was only around £100 for the cabin, which was very nice. Minibar with soft drinks, nice teas and coffee and macaroons, big double bed, and lots of room. I thought it was worth it.
