broken screen 550 boll***s

ist day of my holiday to the picos, and i pressed the screen on the 550 ,and it cracked, and i think its locked/ or something like that,so i cant use it , my question is ,has this happened to any one else ,and have they had it fixed .
i guess ill have to send it back to garmin, unless anyone knows who else can fix it

Yes, went round a corner a bit too fast and my 2610 flew off the dashboard and cracked the screen. Garmin Europe are 5 miles from me, they fixed it overnight and charged me £10, that was 10 years ago though. Tou could try taking the battery off and back on again, this might reset it enough for the rest of your trip.

i did cracked my screan whill lifting tank bag to fill up and zip caught the screan and cracked it rang garmin and they said it was not covered under warenty but would repair it for 124 pounds. and if they could not repair it would replace it .

unit only was sent away to them and a week later i box turned up with a new gps compleate with all mounts and mapping. so a little expensive but i thought it was a good sevice
