Has anyone changed from old BT Home Hub to new v0.4 and found the wifi is either now dead slow or stop.
Im using the same number of devices so no change. Any hints or tips guys???

Yep me too, I thought it was me, bought a range extender, no difrent! Even wen im connected on my fone it still takes the piss! Swapped over about two months back, and to start with it service was either on or off, rang bt, they did a few tests, sed it may be a faulty router, see how you get on, evrythin was ok then for a few weeks, and then now it connects fine, but the service is just intermittently slow!

Funny that .I have a new router as well and now cant watch anything on youtube . It keeps buffering (is that the right phrase?) Have done a speedcheck and am getting about 5 which is better if anything than before, and cleaned up my computer but didnt expect it to be the modem. Anyone else?:

Don't know if it's related as we live in "Kingston communication" catchment area and can only subscribe to their service. But after a recent move (same area different house) we subscribed to their new all singing all dancing "lightstream" package.
Things where not good, everything buffeted, couldn't always get a signal, anyway to cut a long story short it turns out that our laptop ran on 2.4g whereas "lightstream" was designed for computers that run on 5g (they never told us this) anyway we where able to get a dongle from Currys that converted us to 5g at a cost of £20 and now it really is all singing and all dancing.

Many thanks everyone. There are now scores of peeps it seems with same issues around the new BT Hubs which BT are allowing call centre staff to handle from afar.
In effect they dont give a damn. Ive even gone back to old hub and hey presto, fast speed again. So keep the notes coming here and i will raise joint fault to BT for being Bloody Terrible.

My understanding is its "Generation" as in 4G ans 3G standing for 4th Generation and 3rd Generation. Hope this helps and really pleased to be corrected.
