So, off to Italy next week, travelling through France, and my mate said that I'd need bulbs and fuses in case we get pulled by the police. As the bike doesn't have any bulbs (LED) or fuses, this could be fun!:D:beerjug:

Makes me laugh you need to carry bulbs, nothing to do with the bike.I am a auto electrician and you should try changing bulbs on some modern cars its a pain in the arse in the workshop on some let alone on the side of the road.
Enjoy your trip:beerjug:

If you have room in your luggage, pack some of these....

PS. I never bothered carrying spare bulbs and fuses when I went to France.

You're right.:blast The chap at Vines that I spoke to about this reckoned that if either of those fuses go, that the bike needs to be booked in, as it would be a major fault that would cause them to go. For the sake of £1, maybe I'll get a couple just in case.:D

you need to carry spare headlight, tail light and indicator assemblies then :D

I'll get my support crew to take that lot in the 4x4:D

That sounds like a plan!...you could get a tv show and book deal if you go just a little further than France! :D

Saw lots of LC's on my recent jaunt to Spain by the way :thumb2

In reality ...

... the law requires that you ride/drive with all lights functioning; this has been interpreted as a requirement to carry spares in case of failure, but if you've now got 'failure proof' lighting you don't have to carry anything

That makes sense:thumb:beerjug:

Mine doesn't have bulbs as its full LED:rob:beerjug:

So has mine, but joking aside it's an interesting point. During a stop in France a few years ago, for being a naughty boy with speed, "pissed off plod" wanted to see my spare bulbs. Obviously wanted to do me for as much as possible.
It would have been a very interesting conversation with said plod as I explained to him " but I ave ze LED's and ze LED's never break!!"
