Hi folks.

Looking for a bit of assistance.

Attached is a pic of my busted indicator (ignore the gaffer tape). I ordered replacement from Motorworks and it became apparent that the broken one is actually aftermarket. The replacement is OEM!

BUT...........

The aftermarket one appears to have been fitted by drilling a fresh hole through the fairing rather than slotting in to an existing BMW spot.

So if anyone recognises the broken one can they let me know how to remove the base bit without removing the fairing if possible.

Or does anyone know where I can buy an identical aftermarket bit (well not that identical as I'm not OCD and like non-symmetry :D).

Any other suggestions welcome :aidan

Indicator currently held on with insulating tape round the base of the stem.

Thanks in advance :beerjug:

That's interesting :beerjug:

However, in my case the wire goes through a nut which is holding the base to the fairing. Thinking about that I guess that it could only have been put on with access to the "other side" cue spooky music, damn will have to remove fairing.....

You could give us a better chance by doing a better photo

But it looks like a bit of tombuggery has gone on

Looks like a std 1150 mount (See part 6 here) and the F650 end cut off at the outer groove and glued to the 1150 Mount??

Cheers for the answers.

Removing the fairing looks a complete pain so as a temporary measure I am going to attempt to glue the parts together with "liquid gasket"
