Looking for some advice from you knowledgable lot please.
My K1600 was stolen over a month ago and I have just about got over it (the thieving bastards) and after having numerous BMs.... RTs, GSA's, S1000XT, I'm after a change seeing as my local family dealer has sold out to Vertu.....Soooo Lads and ladettes, what should I look out for when buying, plus any advice re ownership and running cost.
All helpful advice greatly appreciated (y)

What's wrong with Vertu? They have just opened a Motorrad branch in Exeter. Are they to be avoided?

Each to their own, so just get a decent test ride.

Performance/handling are great, as you would expect. Comfort wise the big MS was OK for me as the rider, but my Mrs. found the pillion a bit tight for legroom with panniers in place & some detail seems a tad frail compared with our Super10 & FJR.

I haven't heard anything particularly negative about Vertu. They are primarily car dealers & include the Bristol Street Motors brand. The attraction of Honda & BMW is that the bike dealer element can be dovetailed into their car franchise - fine when trading with the traditional dealership model, but I wonder how this works when many car manufacturers are moving towards the agency sales model.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that Vertu is anything but good, its just that I have dealt with AJs for longer than I care to remember BUT I have not had good dealings with any large dealership in the past, I do know that I shouldn't tar all with the same brush, just mix that with the price of beamers and BMs interest rates has swayed me away....Time for a change.
Thanks squibb, my wife has packed in riding some years ago so doesn't effect my decision (y)
