Buying a Saltire

Anyone know where I can but a Saltire about 18" x 12" that's the correct colour?

I've just got a couple that I bought off ebay and they're navy blue rather than the correct Pantone 300.

I'm riding from Indianapolis to Colorado and Utah and back again on Earache's Pan (very kind of you, Sir - much obliged...) at the beginning of next month and want to fly the flag as we cross the flatlands into the Rockies.

Why bother about the colour? The septics haven't a clue about anything out side the You-Ess-A and the majority might have some idea that somewhere called Scotchland might exist but I'd be surprised if they knew it was an actual place with a real flag 'n all...

Actually, the last time I saw a Saltire in the USA was on the back of a Subaru in San Francisco, last year.

The ebay seller I bought these ones from claims that they're imported by the thousand and she has no control over the colour and I'm the first person to have complained, ie she has no bloody idea of the correct colour and doesn't care so long as she can sell them.

Thanks but they don't seem to have a clue about the correct colour, either.... It's only 8 years since the Scottish Government approved Pantone 300 as being the colour of the Saltire.

The example in the pic looks right? Failing that, I'd suggest a mild bleach for the flag you've got.

I does look right but 5' x 3' is a bit big to fly on a bike.

As for the text.....

I've just asked Karen if she has any correct coloured ones at The Last House, she said straight away that all hers are incorrect as they are navy blue, but the manufacturers in a smaller size don't seem to give a shite.

Thanks for asking anyway - much appreciated. I'm currently thinking it should be a criminal offence to import "Saltires" of the wrong colour. That'd learn [sic] 'em......

Correct me if I'm wrong but that ensign pre dates the red ensign and was one of the first ships ensigns to be flown.

I just fly the Saltire ( of the wrong colour according to the Schtumbanfuhrer ) and live in hope of the Royal Navy - who are the only legal entity who can enforce it- trying to fine me for flying it

It looks navy in the advert but it's actually pretty close to the right colour when you see it especially when the daylight is on it.

Aye we had a navy 3 ships I believe that were merged into the fleet at the signing of the union in 1707.
I did think about a saltire but it means unable to make way - or something.

Got a bollocking for flying a little saltire on my s/b crosstrees cause it is our waters, also got a bollocking for flying the ensign but I am not in the blue brigade.
