Anyone from this side of the water bought a brand new bike from a Scottish/English Dealer?

Lots of people buy in scotland and england i got my ducati from wolverhampton and my new 1200 gs is coming from england as well

Bought a brand new 2008 1200GS from Mottorad Central in Glasgow in 2008, even had the servicing done there as well as it was included in the deal, just a bimble up the road from the ferry terminals.

Motorcycles (new) €2 per cc up to 350cc and €1 per cc thereafter
Motorcycles (used) As for new. Total amount is then reduced by percentage depending on age (over 30 years 100% reduction)

the difference in price in the 2 dealers - yes it is to be honest.

And its not just the money that makes someone go else where

I'm not paying more. The difference in price, it'll still be cheaper for me to go to England, not much cheaper though.

A few years back I walked into the showroom of the "big organisation" and I was treated like something you would scrape of the sole of your shoe, and I haven't forgotten, hence my decision to deal elsewhere.

Cannie believe that , the boys are both friendly and courteous ,every time
i call . Its just ye hear so many stories and i have never had a bad word said
i can only assume , its yer Uncle Charlies Motos in Mallusk yer talkin about.

I would be up front with uncle charlie and tell him what you can but it for. Worth a try but not worth cutting off your nose to spite your face. I felt the same as you with one of the salesmen but i dealt with the boss no problem. Hope this helps.:thumb
