When I bought my GS it had only 2.5k miles on the clock, and was fitted with the original Conti TKC 80's.

I got these changed for Tourance's (which I'm very pleased with, incidentally) almost immediately.

A friend of a friend of a friend (etc) wants to buy these used Conti's and (Being a Gentleman) I've said "I don't know what used tyres are worth, give me what you think is reasonable..."

...But what is reasonable?

I don't wanna ask a stupid price and make someone I've never met think I'm a total pratt, but on the other hand, don't want to be ripped off either....

Help! What do you Guy's think there're worth????

tyres

I very rarely buy new tyres cos both my bikes have 17 inch rims I just get mine from ebay, just for instance I have recieved a pair of dunlop GPR70's for my xr650 motard I payed £46 inc postage for them and they have only just been scrubbed in they should be £150 new.
So a pair TK's with 2,5k are not worth a lot really £30.Andy

£40 posted...my final offer:D I am serious

Thank you for your offer, but I don't think I could get them delivered to Scotland for £15... being heavy and large... You know what the Post Office is like about anything larger than an envelope, and I can't believe a courrier would do it for less (?)

So I guess if friend of a friend still wants them, and is prepared to pay £25, he can have them.

But thank you all the same.

OK......£50 then Got to be worth it to dump the Arrowmax just fitted...who remembers them?

:D Well I'm quite amazed that a courrier will deliver for a tenner! As that is the case, I'll take £40 and pay the charge to your address.

After all, the guy's said £30-£40 and they are used.

I'll email you this evening at your Hotmail address, thank you.

ps Had Arromax fitted to an XJ600 in the 80's - Can't believe they still make them!

I Just shipped a pair of MX tyres to Scotland for just under GBP12.00 using Royal Mail standard parcel, I gaffer taped them together and put a round section of cardboard on either side to cover the holes.

If you use www.senditquick.com they go by Parcelforce, but considerably cheaper than their own rates. And they collect.

Send up to 30 Kgs with 48 hr delivery £9.99, next day £10.49.

I'll be just like Ewan now!

The arrowmax was hiding in the deapest darkest recess of the garage(for a decade?)...I swapped it with the bald Exedra and off to KwaqFit to pop it onto the bead the kwikfit boss John described it as "as hard as a whores heart" however it seemed fine on a romp through Ayrshires gloom today. I only had an R1200C for company/competition mind:D
