Well, after 3 years and 22,200 "smiles" I've decided to chop in the SMT, nothing wrong with the bike at all, I've really enjoyed having used such a brilliant all rounder and wouldn't rule out having another one in the future, but I just get itchy feet / new bike syndrome after a while

Been fancying something a bit more sexy and exotic for a while now, and after a back to back test ride with a new Fireblade ( totally bland  ) I fell head over heels in lust with this :-

Definately a decision made with the heart not the head, but fcuk me, what a gorgeous piece of kit this is to ride, and I can't stop going in the garage just to look at it :eek:

Yeah, yeah... I know all about the chicken strips, but when these pics were taken I'd had one wet ride home on new tyres, so giz a chance eh?

Taken just outside of Hawes whilst still running her in, no hardship really, 6,000 revs in top gear is 95 mph!! :D

Even more astonishing is the fuel consumption whilst running in ---- 54 mpg!! the KTM never got anywhere near that sort of figure :nenau

Got about 1,000 miles on it now and its a dream to ride, such a brilliant complete package and it looks stunning.

If I get as much enjoyment out of this as I did with the KTM I'll be a happy bunny!

Adieu, mon amies, till I return again to the KTM fold, have fun with yours,

Poucher :thumb

My mate has just bought one of these after chopping in his 848, he's loving it as well. Nice looking bike they are, enjoy

Where are you going to put your top box? Where is your young lady going to sit? :nenau

Very nice. They say the 899 is the better all round Panigale, compared to its bigger brother.:thumb

Looks good - a bit of a change from the SMT.

I still find myself looking towards the SMT for a different sort of touring than the GSA............

Beautiful.................. Maybe after the divorce :D Enjoy !!

.... and a good example of what we've been talking about over the last few days; soul, heart over head and that wow I'm in love with what's in the garage .... :D

Enjoy the new bike .... :thumb2

I suppose you could do charity shop touring. :green gri

Looverly bike Mr Poucher. Right colour as well. I'm very jealous. :thumb

That photo on the road to Hawes is good enough for a sales brochure. :beerjug:

Try it, you'll like it.

Lighter, faster, more fun, although less weather protection and maybe a bit 'rougher' round the edges.

Loving mine....

Don't suppose I can tempt you to swing a leg over it next time your up then Smug ??:toungincheek
Thanks for the offer but I remember how much you loved riding my bike. :(

I better not try it because I might like it and then I'll not be happy with my bike and I can't afford to change it and.... :blast

Eeeeh our Colin, what ever happened to never buying another new bike and following Malcolms lead !!! :blast
Very very nice bye the way....... :rob.
