Byways day

Damn, missed this. How did it go ? I'll be on the lookout if you post about going again.

I ended up doing this yesterday @SpeedTriple & @Slime Bomb on my 390 Adventure R, it was great fun and only took about two and a half hours, starting just after 10am from Litton Mill. We really should arrange some lanes ride outs. It's quite dry at the moment as well.

Happy to do next Saturday if anyone fancies it.

This looks like a fun one to do, slightly more technical maybe with lanes like Pindale included....

I'm planning on doing the second route above (post 5) on Saturday 25th October, starting about 10am from Miller's Dale (maybe the Cowshed Cafe as a start point).

There are a couple of slightly more challenging lanes in this, Pindale going up and Limestone Way going down (Haydale).

Not sure this video sells it, but gives an idea of the lanes for this route ...

Would this be doable on an x challenge or better on dr 350? Where is the finish point? Was thinking of camping at the cowshed campsite the night before.

It’s a loop so we will return to the same point 👍. As for bike, it’s doable on adventure bikes with half decent tyres and pilot so think either of those bikes should be fine.

If you’re not sure , have a watch of the video above .

I did Pindale yesterday going up. I've done it going down before but upwards was a challenge! Dropped it twice. Still good though. (y)

Nice one, I'm the same I've done it down but not tried it up yet. It's the one lane that makes me apprehensive. What bike were you on ?

It's strange, I'm now apprehensive about Three shires head although I've done it on a CRF 300L. Got to get it done though at some point along with Cumberland brook
