If you buy it keep it away from grey clouds ... oh no no, it doesn't have to see rain to peel the chrome tat off.
From my research so far, it seems the post 2000 models did that - before their recent renaissance
Earlier bikes were mainly alloy and better, only thing is relays, but these can be replaced by some from the USA for £20, if they give trouble
Looks just the sort of bike to do a releaxed D road tour of France, like your last ride report

I'm sure there is some truth in the better quality of finish on the Piaggio built models but then that's irrelevant to this thread, and the bike you have an interest in.
