Anyone have any good campsites along the German Alpine Road? Struggling to find any, cheers.
Rick

Google maps shows several around Bad Tolz on the route. One near Tegernsee, another near Schliersee. They can't all be bad despite the name.

It's been a while, but we did the DA in a camper van. We used sites near Lindau, then Fussen (Hopfen am See), GPK (just west, with fine views of the Zugspitze) & finally Berchtesgaden.

I can't recall names right now, but all were fully serviced sites plucked out of an ACSI guidebook, now available on-line at: -

Have you not already, prior to post #1? :D :beerjug:
Course not, too busy/got better things to do, wants someone else to spend an hour looking for him, like wot you do for people sometimes., probably want a route next!

Hey! A great idea DevonAl!

I’ve just retired and I don’t know how I managed to find time to go to work for the last 48 years…
I did email local tourist information but most campsites seemed to be ok if I was taking my motorhome, which I’m not.

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Your welcome😉 pretty sure you can set the filters on search4sites & park4night to show tent sites in the areas you are going to.

Al.
