can a drive shaft be rebuilt

i have a friend with a r80gs year 1980,it would seem the drive shaft is shot,is it possible to have it rebuilt and who to do it.

I am assuming it is a R80G/S from that year. They can be rebuilt ( but will need a special tool - if my memory serves me right ).

As long as there is no damage to the uj yokes i can rebuild it
