Can anyone advise on Continental TKC 70 tyres please BMW R1250 GS te

To be fair, when I used the TKC70 (standard version) the wear was ok. Got about 6,500 miles out of them between London and Dushanbe. Wear was ok but I found that some of the terrain asked rather too much of them and I found they would slip quite easily on almost anything. My sense is that they're really road tyres, trying to look a little but more tufty-tufty. Switched to TKC80 for the rough stuff through the Wakhan Valley but the challenge with those, as always, is wear. Took two sets to complete the other 6,500 miles. Never tried Rocks version.

Since then on big, mixed-terrain trips I used Anakee Adventure for tarmac-biassed sections and Karoo 3/4 for dirt-biassed.

On recent Trans-Canada I used Mitas Enduro Trail+. On a fully-laden V4Rally, the first set did 7,000 miles but were totally buggered by the time they were switched out (for the same again). I'll use them again for do-it-all tyres with long life. I reckon they're not far off Heidenau K60s in terms of longevity but they have the added benefit of being made from rubber, not granite. :D

They are.
I don't understand when people bundle them with the TKC80 (I have another set of wheels with 80s on) that is a complete different story.

TKC70 is a road tyre that can provide you some decent grip/resistance on dry-ish offroad surfaces in my view.

Had TKC 70 front and rear on my 1250 Gs and my previous 1200’s great tyre , all my mates use them on there GS as well

3 sets on a 1200 adv - all good , predictable , good service life , and ok on gravel and dry tracks , not a mud tyre ( which is not what I do now anyway )
Ran a set this summer on my Suzuki 800 DE VStrom ,, Scotland to the Nordkapp n back varied conditions , motorway , small roads , floods of rain , gravel at odd bits . They did this + another 2 K when I got home , i recon there is still 1K in them ( which I prolly won’t use as I have a new set of the same here to put on )
