A friend of mine has a '95 r1100gs and needs a new headlight after a stone chipped his. BMW have quoted him several million pounds for a replacement. Does anyone know of an alternative source?.

If it's not to bad,try one of the windscreen menders,just a thought,but if it's good enough for a windscreen,I can't see a headlight lens being a problem,and if all else fails,try araldite.

Fora second hand replacement...You might try contacting Steptoe on this site or if he cannot help you, try Motorworks or Sherlocks BMW ....I think they are in Devon. Good luck
