Can it be done!!

Thinking about changing the bulbs in the speedo/rev counter to a different colour.
Can it be done!!
Fancy changing to a blue.
If it can be done then how many will be needed, and where can i get them.
Oh and also is it simple job.
Also the fuel gauge, can that be done.

The original Stack displays in the Lotus Elise illuminated in Orange. They then changed to Blue for the first batch of S2 models. They have since gone back to Orange as the Blue was much harder to make out/read. Leave as is imho.

Dead easy seeing as you have an 1150.

take the "fly-screen" bit off, and the bulbs just pull out from the frount.

A while ago Nick Marshall was selling different coloured LEDs to replace the lamps, I've got red ones in my 1150.
Maybe worth sending him a PM.

The LEDs look great and looks dead easy to do- I might go for that, not too taxing on the brain - any info on type of LED ie voltage/current/size ? Is it even important -guess is just affects the brilliance ? A Maplin jobbie would do it perhaps ?

All very well changing the speedo and tacho colours but what about the RID? That stays horrible yellow so the whole job looks half baked IMHO.

I offered to mod the RID for blue LEDs etc, but needed a faulty one to experement with...nobody had one, so haven't done it yet.

Anyone?...
