Well, I know it's a BMW, but what model, or is it a bitsa?
I'm starting to get interested in air-head cafe racers, but my knowledge of BMW's prior to my first GS (2003) is rather limited.

So here's you're starter for 10!

Could someone tell me:
What engine's in it?
Is the upper trellis part of the frame a prefab add on?
What back end is it? Has it been converted from twin-shocks, or is it a monoshock thats been grafted on?
Any thing else that you might think relevant.
:beerjug:

looks like a slightly modified r100r :tears:tears different rear sub frame and trellis added to main frame to stop you from getting the engine out :augie can you do a link to the original photos cause you cant really see the detail on those low res pictures :rob

There are many, many airhead cafe racer projects wot I have seen. Some are very nice.

This one is an R100 Dog's Dinner. (Trellis frame on an airhead  Looks like the Eiffel Tower)

Each to their own I suppose.

i think it's rather nice, and it looks like the additional tubes just unbolt for engine removal.

Thanks for all your contributions, - this is good stuff, although shocking pink is not a colour I would choose, - each to our own as they say. Also, I prefer the more classic style wire wheels. For looks the Notten gets my vote. :thumb2

The Notton conversion looks not only good but some practical thought has gone into getting things in and out. I personally like it. The pinkish thing is scary to look at but presume practical for it's intended usage........i hope :D

Just stumbled across this in my photograph collection. Came off the internet somewhere -

That is very smart. I think, if it was mine, I would like the colours reversed, - black for silver, and silver for black.

I was trying to make out what the tank is. It looks like a standard one that's been extended.

Looks like the result of a threesome between a BMW, a Ducati 900SS and a Kawasaki Z1 :D

Seat doesn't do it for me either -wrong angle maybe. Don't mind the rest of it though.

You're dead right. I've just been looking at it again and decided it doesn't do it for me at all.
