Been in there today, had some decent chats with the sales guys, gotta say they are nice guys. They are aware of all the bad press on here and are tryin to get their game back on form.Totaly informal chat with a couple of the guys who pointed out that mostly staffed by new guys, and owners about to retire. They still ofered me crap px for my GTR but im gonna go test a couple of GSs next week.Be interesting to see how GSs in general treat this place in the future certainly lots of bikers in there today.:Motomartin

Polecat's views seem to be more reflective of the general view than Cherokee's. I've been to Cannons twice and both times been kept waiting for ages. "Hour and a half" seems to be their standard quote for any work whatsoever.

Bearign in mind it's gettign for a 200-mile round trip for me, I agreed specifically several times that they would do my bike "as soon as it was cool enough to work on" if I got there early. So, having arrived at 8:30, wandered off for a greasy breakfast and a walk round, got back at 10:30 to find... my bike still in the car park, untouched. Evetually left at... 3:45 that afternoon.

Then there's the anonymous posting of "Cannons have a great offer on bike kit at the moment" by Mrs Cannon...

The dealers I bought my last two bikes from remember me, ply me woith coffee and are always really helpful. Nothing more than expected if you lash out ten grand on a bike, I'd say.

Just so this is above board....I've deleted Polecat's post, as the thread shouldn't have been in the B&B and therefore he shouldn't have been able to post on it.

This was put in place by Paul a long while back to prevent individuals with a chip on their shoulder just logging in and doing a 'hit and run' posting slagging off a dealer, who has very little chance of responding

Hi All,

Firstly, Bill, many thanks for supporting us in removing a post, if it was unnecessarily derogatory - we continue to work hard, and should not be held back by 'tittle tattle'. Constructive Criticism is always welcome though! :clap

Cherokee, Many Thanks for your positive comments regarding our Team, they are all really good guys, both Sales and Aftersales. We have made some changes both to staff and processes to improve our business, improvements which wont happen overnight, but are already evident. I am sure we can accomodate you and ill do my best to come up with a deal we are both happy with. :JB

In relation to part Exchange prices, we acknowledge that the price for a PX is often the most emotive part of any deal, and we always offer fair market values, based on age, mileage and condition - however, from time to time with Non Franchise PX's, we are restricted on what we can offer by the 0% Finance and other crazy offers available on, for example Japanese makes.
Often, the figure we offer is directly underwritten by a Japanese bike dealer, so we offer the customer what we are offered!!

Robin, I would welcome you contact me at the Dealership so we can discuss your issue - in the meantime, I would like to apologise for the delay, and that it took up so much of your day. I am particularly grateful to all our customer's who travel long distances to reach us, and hope you will give us the benefit of the doubt and continue to use our services.

As for the Coffee/Tea etc, if you saw the Invoices I receive for Bevarages, :blast you would know our Coffee Pot is ALWAYS on!!!!
Saturdays usually see a selection of Donuts on offer too!!

Hope to see you all at the Dealership in due course.

Hi,

Well I am going to give you the benifit of the doubt.. I have recently had a bad experience with another dealer, and I have recently moved so you are my closest dealer!..

I am having the fuel pump recall done and having you check out the rear wheel bearing. I had a new final drive fitted at my 6000 mile service and have just had my 12k service and there is a good amount of play in the rear wheel bearing... not what you would expect with a 1200GSA after just 6000 miles of ROAD and no greenlaning or off road!

I am out of warrenty but BMW wont entertain a compalin / claim without a dealer checking it out..

In short, I am hoping you will check it out and help me fight my corner to get the bearings replaced FOC.

I look forward to meeting you all at Cannons

Charlie
