Canon Solutions disc

I'm trying to load the Solutions CD for my G15 Canonon to my PC and falling at the first fence. It tells me to connect the camera to the PC with the USB cable, switch the camera on, make sure all other windows have been closed, and finally to click Next.

After it tries to "verify the device" it tells me that the device was not detected, and to try again. Having done that several times it's sticking to its story that it can't detect my camera. Where do I go now?

Not quite sure if this should be in the Photography, the Computer section or the B&B.

Stop Press!

Well, I didn't expect that, I just tried it again after taking the memory card out of the camera, and it seems to be installing OK. I must say I'm a bit surprised, it was a case of clutching at straws on my part, there was no instruction telling me to do it.

Ah well.

PS, don't go too far, I'll soon be back with another snag, no doubt...
