I think its hilarious that the expectation is that someone looking at GS's would pay to view adverts.

It is unusual that you can't see 3/4 of the site without paying £12. I haven't seen this on any other bike forums before.
Welcome to the site, and trust me ... the 12 quid is more than worth it 
That's because this Forum is more special, keeps out the non-believers
It's also unusual to be able to sell items throughout the whole year anywhere else for a total one off annual fee of £12.00 either.

Ah JB, they're only non believers cos they ain't paid their twelve quid, and I'm absolutely not bothered where my twelve quid goes, but they need to pay their twelve quid to become a believer

Unfortunately the Boss doesn't have a mag like MCN, TBM or ABR to pull in revenue to cover the Forum costs
If you don't want to pay, don't .............but you'll miss a load of stuff and if you decide to leave the site, fine
You have a choice, the decision is yours

Being a subscriber, you will be able to get a GS (or whatever) from the FS&W section and save a hell of a lot more than £12 MEASLY QUID
hard to believe any of them are making much, if any, money.
