Hiya all!! Lookin at gettin the ali side tank panels on me gsa vinyl wrapped in carbon, against me yellow paintwork i think it will work well, but i was just wondering if anybody else had gone the same route, and ifso got any pics!:D

and lastly, merry christmas to all:thumb

We use the carbon wrap on our race bikes and if you take your time and are VERY careful with the heat gun they turn out beautiful. :thumb2
If you cock it up just peel it off and try again with another bit.

I've just put a small panel either side of my tank as I'm going to a bit of an event on the 29th so want to protect the tank from the abrasive mud.

Make it warm and take your time you'll be fine!

Did this to my R1200GS earlier this year. You can see the results in the last post here

Nice one mate:thumb, just the piccys i was after! Looks gud aswell couldnt believe some of the comments below your piccys tho! You always get one arseole with a mouth just because you dare to be difrent!

Yep, always amusing how many people care so much about what others have done to their bikes that they feel the need to criticise. Each to their own though I guess ;)

Ive done bike fairings to car interior items and even sold wrapped items as theres a market for finished products and it looks proper, Make sure you get 3m stuff the latest is 1080 much easier to work with and looks just as good as real carbon, take your time and work on a clean surface prep is the key and enjoy.

Centre dash I've just done.
