Yup , certainly does. I used petrol additive as on more than one occasion it was sucked up before I could do anything about it !! I ended up with about three metres of tubing with the centre on a long U bend on some wood...heath robinson but it is 100% accurate !!
A 1200 owner would faint if this 'tool' was found in his garage !!
Too volatile, flashes off easy... I prefer the natural damping viscosity of oil. Purists would use Dwyer manometer oil but that's a bit spensive. Then, use watcha got I spose...

I had a set of mercury style in the past, but prefer these gauges, I find them easier to use. The company is great to deal with too. No I don't work for them
Easy to read, because they sit nicely across the seat or handlebars and the pipes are long enough for any bike.
